Mahamé Siby #isRed

Selangor FC has officially announced that Mahamé Siby, born in Bobigny, France, will join the Red Giants family during the second transfer window of the 2025/26 season.

The 29-year-old came through the youth system of AF Bobigny and began his professional career with the club, making 25 appearances. He then played for Valenciennes FC before moving to Ligue 1 with RC Strasbourg, where he made 8 appearances. In 2021, he was loaned to Paris FC, building a stronger reputation with 27 appearances.

The following year, Siby spread his wings to Sweden by joining Malmö FF, helping the team win the 2023 Allsvenskan. He later returned to France on loan, playing for SC Bastia with 15 appearances and FC Martigues with 31 appearances. In total, Siby has made 129 competitive appearances, scoring 4 goals and providing 3 assists.

With Selangor FC being his first club in Asia, Siby is ready to step out of his comfort zone and is eager to experience and adapt to the local culture.

“I am ready to step out of my comfort zone and embrace new challenges in a place I have never been before, especially in Asia. I’m really looking forward to exploring the beauty of Malaysia’s culture, building strong relationships with the people here, and learning from the experiences I will gain along the way,” Siby shared.

Siby also expressed his hopes for the club and the Red Giants’ passionate supporters in an interview with Selangor FC Media.

“I’ve heard that the supporters here are incredibly devoted and always give their full support to the team. I hope to repay them by giving my maximum commitment and everything I have on the pitch. I want to leave a positive and lasting impression, not only on the supporters but also on this club,” he added.

Selangor FC welcomes Mahamé Siby with hopes that he will add strength to the Red Giants' midfield for the remainder of the 2025/26 Malaysian Super League season and the 2025/26 ACC Shopee Cup campaign. Welcome, Siby! #SibyIsRed
